The Stage                                                                         "Intermittently, we sit tight and wait for someone to empower us or give us a stage so our talents can be displayed. Why wait for open doors, when you should simply step up to the stage. Today, I give myself permission to get up, keep moving and refrain from listening to negative messages. There’s no use of waiting around for someone to give you opportunity on a platter. I chose to make a plan and move forward. I have the ability and insight to succeed. I may encounter a few stumbling blocks along the way, but I’m willing to overcome them."                                                                                                                -Darlena Swann

The Present     "Yesterday is gone and tomorrow isn’t promised. The present day is now. It’s a gift. Today, I can start with a new beginning before tackling any given assignment. Take a deep breath, inhale, and renew my mind. I am at peace. The X Factor "When I think of the letter ”X”, I think about the unknown. It’s a waste of time preoccupying our minds with worry and anxieties. The main thing we need to focus on is the present. Tomorrow may never come and yesterday is the past. When I confront a difficult situation, I must be willing to overcome it and move forward. Recipes of Success “I am responsible for my own success in life. I’m the captain of my own ship. There’s really no magical solution for the recipes of success. Just basic ingredients: 1) A desire to achieve a goal or objective, 2) Having an ongoing systematic approach to achieve your goal, 3) Prayer and meditation, and 4) Determination.  There will be a few challenges along the way, but having the steadiness to keep going makes the difference. Dare to Dream "Today, I give myself permission to daydream about the future. Dreaming allows me to escape the boredom of a daily routine. During my younger days, I would spend countless hours dreaming about what I want to be when I grow up. When I got older, I began to dream less. When I choose to stop dreaming, I stopped living and enjoying the experiences life has to offer. My ability to dream allows me to be creative and gives me hope.
